On arrival at the airport, get transferred to Chilaw and proceed to Munneshwaram Temple which is one of the 5 major Shiva temples of Sri Lanka and Rameswaram Islands. The temple is located at a place where King Rama prayed to Shiva after committing the worst crime which killing of a priest. Take a stroll of the temple and learn about its history. Later head to Manavari Temple which is nestled approximately 6 km from Chilaw. This temple is popular for its Lingam which was installed by Lord Rama. After the temple tour, head to Dambulla which is 4-5 hours drive from Chilaw. upon arrival at Dambulla, check-in and overnight stay at Dambulla

After breakfast, proceed to Trincomalee which is a 2-hour drive from Dambulla. Head to visit Shakthi Peedam, Thirukonneshwaram Temple which is a spectacular temple situated on a rock promontory of Trincomalee. Built by Rishi Agastya on the instructions of Lord Shiva, this temple is unique and attracts tourists from all over the world. Later continue your journey to Sri Shankari Devi Shakthi Peedam which is adjacent to Trincomalee’s popular Koneswaram Temple. This temple is small in size but plays an important role for Hindu Pilgrims. After the temple tour, return back and overnight stay at Trincomalee.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and leave for Kandy which is a 4-hour drive from Trincomalee. Enroute visit Dambulla Cave Temple which is a huge isolated rock mass which is 500 feet high. The temple showcases the rich culture of Buddhism and is a must visit destination for your Sri Lanka Tour. By afternoon arrive at Kandy and visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which is yet another popular attraction to see in Kandy. The Relic is known to be Sri Lanka’s most prized possession as it is religious in the Buddhist world. In the evening, enjoy the cultural dance show that features numerous dance types of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at Kandy.

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya which is your next stop on this Sri Lankan Tour. Enroute visit Ramboda Hanumanji Temple, Tea Plantation and Ramboda Falls. Later head to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden which is considered to be the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. By afternoon, proceed to Nuwara Eliya where you will be exploring some of the fascinating attractions of the city such as Gregory Lake where you will get to enjoy the scenic boat ride. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and head to see the Amman Temple and Asoka Vatika which is one of the popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. Then proceed to Ella which is approximately 2 hours from Nuwara Eliya. On arrival, get ready to explore some of the fascinating places like Ravana Falls, Ravana Caves and Divurumpola. The Ravana Ella Fall and Cave are situated close to Wellawaya main road and is a must visit destination on your Sri Lanka Tour. The beautiful waterfall measures about 25 metres and as the legend goes, it is believed that Sita bathed in that pool. The Ravana Ella cave is believed to be a network of tunnels that connects to the Dova temple and the airports, dairy farms and palaces of King Ravana. Proceed to visit Divurumpola where Sita underwent the fire ordeal so as to prove her chastity. This famous place is said to have witnessed this famous episode and today the temple is regarded as a suitable place for oaths that can be helpful in setting calmness between the parties. After the city tour, return back to Nuwara Eliya for dinner and overnight stay.

Munch in your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Colombo which is a 6-hour drive from Nuwara Eliya. Enroute head to visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which is a popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. This well known orphanage was started in 1975 that houses abandoned and wounded elephants. These gigantic creatures have been brought from various parts and have been kept here for their safety. You can feed and bathe them and watch the, from a closer view. On arrival at Colombo, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Later head to visit the famous Panchamuga Anjaneyer Temple in Colombo. This Hanuman temple is one of the famous temples that is a must visit during your tour. It is the only temple on the island that is dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his Panchamuga form which means the five faces. It is also said that it is the only temple in the world that have a chariot for Anjaneyar. The chariot festival that is held at the end of December or in the beginning of January is said to be famous festival in Sri Lanka. Before entering the temple, visitors are advised to wash their hands and feet and not to cross hands in the temple. After the temple tour, return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Colombo.
