Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Amritsar – Arrival +

Welcome to India. On arrival, you will be received by our representative at the Amritsar airport and you will be transferred to hotel. Amritsar is known for its rich Sikh heritage and the famous Golden Temple. Overnight stay at hotel in Amritsar.

DAY 2 Amritsar – Dalhousie (By Road – 200 Kms / 5 Hours Drive) +

After a hearty breakfast, check out and drive to Dalhousie. Upon arrival check in hotel and relax. Later you can visit Panchpula, Satdhara or Jandhri Ghat and Barkota Hills. Return to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie.

DAY 3 Dalhousie – Khajjiar (By Road – 25 Kms / 1 Hour drive) +

After breakfast, head for a day excursion to Khajjiar, popular as Switzerland of India. This most scenic saucer shaped plateau is cradle in the dense expanse of pine and deodar forests. A small lake in the center adds to its charm. It also has a floating island and 9-hole golf course to keep you entertained. Later drive back to Dalhousie and send the rest of the day at leisure followed by dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie.

DAY 4 Dalhousie– Dharamshala (By Road – 120 Kms / 4 Hours Drive) +

After breakfast, proceed for Dharamshala. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. After some relax visit Norbulingka Institute for a Tibetan cultural heritage experience and St Johns Church. Time permitting, visit war memorial at Dharamshala that commemorates martyrs of the area. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

DAY 5 Dharamshala – Sightseeing +

After breakfast, go on a full-day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and holy visit to the Dalai Lama Temple complex and Bhagsunag Falls and Bhagsu temple in Mcleodganj. Also visit the Kangra art museum, high altitude Cricket Stadium of India nestled at approx. 10,200 feet and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

DAY 6 Dharamshala – Amritsar (By Road – 212 Kms / 5 Hours Drive) +

After early breakfast, proceed for Amritsar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and after little relaxation, head for a local sightseeing tour covering the daily Wagah border Beating Retreat and feel the patriotic vibes flowing in you. Later, drive back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Amritsar.

DAY 7 Amritsar – Departure +

After breakfast, enjoy a local sightseeing tour of Amritsar covering the magnificent Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Later, you will be transferred to the Amritsar airport for flight back home.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful. All hotel- casino kochi and fragrant nature Kollam was too good. Boathouse experience was great too. The helper Abu in boathouse cooked super fast and delicious food( chicken, prawn,fish and crab).
