After a short drive from Pokhara, you will arrive at Nayapul which is the starting point of your trek. From here, the trail passes through small villages, green fields, rivers and suspension bridges. Ghandruk

Day by Day

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Pokhara-Nayalpul-Ghandruk +

Begin your trek with drive to Nayapul which is the starting point of the trek. You will reach Birethanti and start your trek to Ghandruk which is considered to be a beautiful village inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, you will visit Gurung Museum that exhibits ancient items of the village. Enjoy the stunning beauty of the region and make the most of the trip. Overnight stay in the local guest houses in Ghandruk.

DAY 2 Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 - 6 hours +

Today, have your breakfast and trek for around an hour up to Kimrungdanda. While on the way, enjoy a great views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail Mountain ( Machhapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. A steep plunge takes you down to the Kimrong Khola and after another ascent from Kimrong Khola to Chere Danda, you will descend for a while and take a gentle walk to Chhomrong- Located on the laps of Annapurna Massive, Chhomrong is a beautiful village that has attracted tourists from all walks of life. Overnight stay at Chhomrong.

DAY 3 Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 - 5 hours +

You will descend today via 2500 stone steps and cross the bridge that is above Chhomrong Khola. From here it is like an uphill climb to Sinuwa. Later you will pass through a beautiful forest to Kuldihar which is followed by a downhill walk to Bamboo. Overnight stay in the local guest house in Bamboo.

DAY 4 Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours +

Enjoy your breakfast and pass through a bamboo forest which is cold and damp. Ascend steadily through the sections. Reach your hotel and enjoy the stunning view of the glacier river and make the most of the trip. Here you will climb up through much drier forest before arriving at Hinku Cave. You will get to see the trail drop before climbing again to Duerali which is the most scenic stretch of the route. Overnight stay in Deurali.

DAY 5 Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours +

Proceed gently through a river bed and head to steep trail over the mountain side. Today, you will hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From this stunning base camp, you will get beautiful views of the majestic Machhapuchhre, Mt Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III. On the way you will get to see the vegetation as you enter Annapurna Sanctuary. Next you will head to the sanctuary that boast of dynamic view. Overnight stay at Annapurna Base Camp.

DAY 6 Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours +

Today you will trace your steps back to Bamboo. The trek from the base is downhill so it is easily accessible. With extraordinary landscape and enthralling adventurous spirit, you are sure to have an amazing time to trek down the hill. Overnight stay in Bamboo

DAY 7 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 - 6 hours +

Wake up today and begin your uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then you will climb the steps to Chhomrong that descends to Jhinu Danda where you will be resting for the night. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is situated just 15-20 minute walk from Jhinu Danda. Soothe your aching body and overnight stay in Jhinu Danda

DAY 8 Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive - Departure +

You will proceed to Naya Pul today from Jhinu Danda where you will get to enjoy the amazing hill landscape of the western area. Enjoy delicious lunch on the way and your trek will end at Naya Pul where you will board vehicle to Pokhara. Overnight stay at Pokhara

We have just returned from a trip to Arangabad, Hampi and Badami. I found TraEminent on Trustpilot and whatsapped them and got an immediate reply from Sunny, who listened to what we wanted to do then passed us to his colleague Prachi to organise our trip. Prachi sent suggestions of different hotels and also suggested we added Badami to our itinery, which was an excellent suggestion. She organised hotels, drivers, guides and internal flights. Our hotel vouchers and internal flight bar codes were sent to us via email. We paid for the trip in 3 installments, the final one being on the day we arrivec in India. Our contact once the trip was organised and whilst we were in India was Mukesh. Prachi also created a group Whatsapp for herself, Mukesh, my husband and myself. As the holiday neared the war in Iran started and up until the day we travelled we were not sure we would be able to travel and Mukesh was excellent in starting to secure refunds and vouchers. But fortunately on the day we were able to travel, although due to late setting off and extra travel time we missed our connection from Delhi to Aurangabad and had to travel early the next morning. I contacted Mukesh who rearranged the pickup from the airport. Mukesk kept in contact with us daily for the duration of the trip and informed us of each drivers and car details the day before the pick up. We had 2 drivers, Aleem for Aurangabad and Ram for Hampi and Badami, both were excellent and the cars were comfortable. Our guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. The hotels were exactley what we wanted and the intetnal flights with Indigo were ideal time wise. We had the best 10 day tour. Thank you TraEminent for you help, patience and communication. South India Tour. We just returned from India last week. It was a mixed kind of experience. Our trip started out well then took a U-turn due to pot holes and making the mistake of drinking filter water at the Marriott. Regardless of how tired you are, at all time get Mineral water! This is one mistake I’ll never make again. Because of this our trip wasn’t as amazing as it would have been. However, our driver named Naufel was very attentive. I got prescription my a doctor and Naufel picked all the medications we needed. He worked with our timing. Most of our time was spent in the hotel room instead of being out and about.
