Today after breakfast, get ready for city tour of Kathmandu. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu is also known as Kantipur and is a well known tourist site that has seen many people from all over the world. In the first half of your sightseeing tour, you will be visiting the temple of the Living Goddess, Kathmandu Durbar Square which is overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace which is an ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty. Next you will head to Swayambhunath which is situated approximately 4 km from the city. Said to be 2000 years old, this Buddhist Stupa is a major tourist site that has attracted tourists from everywhere. This magnificent structure houses solid hemisphere of brick and earth that supports a conical spire which is capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Rest for a while and later get ready to explore some other famous attractions of the city.
