Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Cochin +

Arrive at the airport and meet our guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel. Check into the hotel on arrival and rest of the day is for leisure. Later in the evening enjoy the classical dance Kathakali and make the most of the trip. Overnight stay at Cochin.

DAY 2 Cochin - Alleppey (53 Kms 01 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

After breakfast, get ready to explore the beautiful city of Cochin. Head to visit the famous Chinese fishing nets, St.Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Mattancherry, Fort Kochi Area. Explore the spice market where you can find numerous samples of spices, out in the open. In the afternoon depart for Alleppey which is a haven for nature lovers. On arrival, check into the houseboat and overnight stay.

DAY 3 Alleppey - Kumarakom (33 Kms / Approx 01 Hrs 03 Mint. Drive) +

Today drive to Kumarakom which is a cluster of little islands situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake in Kerala. On arrival, check into the hotel and spend the day at leisure. You can visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary and watch the amazing bird species. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.

DAY 4 Kumarakom - Munnar (149 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs 45 Mint. Drive) +

Have your breakfast and drive to Munnar which is a popular hill station of Kerala. On arrival, check into the hotel and the rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Munnar.

DAY 5 Munnar +

After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Munnar is one of the well known hill stations and is situated in the confluence of three mountain streams- Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Visit the world’s highest tea plantations and Eravikulam National Park where you can see the Nilgiri Tahr. Rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Munnar.

DAY 6 Munnar - Ooty (242 Kms / Approx 07 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Enjoy your breakfast and leave for Ooty. Known as the Queen of Hill Station, Ooty is a well known attraction that has garnered tourists from all over the world. On arrival, check into the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Ooty.

DAY 7 Ooty +

Munch in your breakfast and spend the day at leisure. You can explore the nearby area or admire the lush greenery of the region. Overnight stay at Ooty.

DAY 8 Ooty - Mysore (125 kms / Approx 03 hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

After breakfast, depart for Mysore and on arrival, check into the hotel. Rest for a while and later head for half day sightseeing tour of Mysore. Visit popular places like Maharaja’s Palace which was built in 1897. Then head to visit Brindavan Gardens, St Philomena's Church, Sri Jauyachamarajendra Art Gallery. Return back by evening for overnight stay.

DAY 9 Mysore - Hasan (256 Kms / Approx 06 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Post breakfast, head to visit Belur Temple which is an amazing architecture piece built in the sculpture of cartoon. Belur is known for its Chennakesava Temple Complex that houses shrines exhibiting the golden architecture of South India. Later drive to Hasan and overnight stay.

DAY 10 Hasan +

Today after breakfast visit Shravanabelagola, a jain pilgrimage that is a famous attraction of the city. You can also visit Gommateshwara Bahubali which is situated amidst the Vindhyagiri and Chandragiri hills. Return back by evening for overnight stay.

DAY 11 Hasan - Bangalore (140 Kms / Approx 03 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Have your breakfast and depart for Bangalore which has been nicknamed as the Silicon city of India. On arrival, check into the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 12 Bangalore +

Enjoy your breakfast and later leave for sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Vidhan Soudha, Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh and Bangalore Palace. Return back after the tour for overnight stay.

DAY 13 Departure +
Tour will come to an end with your departure to the airport and from there board flight for your onward destination.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
