Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Cochin - Munnar (4 Hours Drive) +
Arrive at Cochin airport where our driver or representative will meet you. Drive to Munnar which is a beautiful hill station known for tea gardens, spice plantations and greenery. On the way, enjoy views of Cheeyappara, Valara waterfalls and scenic tea plantations. On arrival, check in to your resort and relax. You can also enjoy an Ayurveda massage (at your own cost). Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 2 Munnar Sightseeing +
After breakfast, visit the famous places in Munnar. In this sightseeing tour, you will explore Eravikulam National Park (Raja Malai), Mattupetty Dam, tea estates, Echo Point, spice plantation, Rose Garden, Photo Point, Honey Bee Tree and Tea Museum. You can also enjoy activities like boating in the lake, trekking and rock climbing at your own cost. In the evening, if time permits, you can watch a Kathakali show (optional). Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 3 Munnar - Periyar (4 Hours Drive) +
Enjoy breakfast and drive to Periyar (Thekkady). It is known as the wildlife destination and spice hub of Kerala. This place is rich in flora and fauna. On arrival, visit a spice plantation with a guided tour. In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Kalaripayattu show (optional). Overnight stay in Periyar.
DAY 4 Periyar Wildlife Experience +
Wake up and have your breakfast. Then start your day with a boat ride on Lake Periyar for around one and a half hours. You may see birds, elephants, deer and wild animals near the lake. Later, you can choose a jeep safari or elephant safari at your own cost. Periyar is home to animals like elephant, tiger, gaur, wild boar, deer, Nilgiri langur, and birds like hornbill and kingfisher. You can also enjoy activities like bamboo rafting, jungle walk or elephant ride on direct payment. Return to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Periyar.
DAY 5 Periyar - Alleppey Houseboat (4 Hours Drive) +
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey and check in to your houseboat at 12:00 noon. Enjoy a relaxing cruise through the backwaters, which is a unique experience. Lunch, evening tea/coffee with snacks and dinner will be served on the houseboat. Cruising is from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, after which the houseboat will stay anchored as per government rules. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
DAY 6 Alleppey - Cochin Departure (2.5 Hours Drive) +
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat at 9:00 AM and drive to Cochin. Visit Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Jew Town and the Spice Market. In the evening, transfer to Cochin airport for your onward journey.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
