Madhya Pradesh is a state of history that laid the foundations for the Indian civilization. It has varied offerings, temples, unrivaled wildlife, cultural Buddhist presence and a strong local heritage. Travel to Bhopal after witnessing Delhi's hustle and bustle, and visit the ancient Sanchi Buddhist Sanctuary for spiritual orientation. You can smell the clean air of the hills once you head to Pachmarhi Hill Station, the paradise of a bird lover, and then carry on to Satpura –one of India's finest wildlife reserves.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Delhi +

On arrival, meet our guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel. Check into the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 2 Delhi -Flight- Bhopal +

After breakfast, get transferred to the airport from where you will board flight to Bhopal. On arrival, check into the hotel and later visit historical places like Taj-ul-Masjid Mosque, Jama Masjid and Shaukat Mahal where you can satisfy your soul with stories and tales. Overnight stay at Bhopal.

DAY 3 Bhopal +

After breakfast, get ready for full day excursion to Sanchi which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Udayagiri Caves. Sanchi is known to be a serene hill that boasts of a group of stupas, temples, monasteries and pillars that dates back from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. It is an ancient place of pilgrimage for Buddhists and is a must visit place on your tour. You will also visit Udayagiri Caves which are Hindu ritual site and have been extensively carved and reworked under the command of Chandragupta II. Head to visit Bhimbetka & Bhojpur. Bhimbetka rock shelters are an archaeological site that dates back to the Paleolithic age. These showcase the earliest traces of human life on the Indian subcontinent and show glimpse of the beginning of the South Asian during the Stone Age. Later proceed to Bhojpur and see its temple which is dedicated to Shiva. The temple boasts of one of the largest lingas in India and is crafted out a single rock. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 4 Bhopal-Pachmarhi Hill station (194 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs 45 Mint. Drive) +

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Pachmarhi Hill station which was once known to be the summer capital of the central provinces during the British Raj. On arrival, check into the resort and rest of the day is for leisure. Pachmarhi is a sleepy town which is situated in the heart of the Satpura Hills and houses graceful bungalows and stone churches. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 5 Panchmarhi +

Today after breakfast, take a guided morning walk to Mount Rosa. Pass the waterfalls and rock-paintings which is an ideal chance to spot the flora and fauna in the region. Later in the afternoon head to visit man-made Pandav caves and enjoy the sunset at Dhupgarh. You can choose to go for an 8km walk into the Sal forests outside of Pachmarhi which will leave you refreshed. Visit Jatashanker Cave and view some of the local wildlife including gaur, tree shrew, sambar, the Malabar giant squirrel etc. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 6 Panchmarhi - Satpura (08 Kms / Approx 30 Mint. Drive) +

Today after breakfast, head to the butterfly garden in Panarpani on a trail where you can spot tiger, leopard and sloth bear. After lunch, drive to Satpura National Park which is spread across the mountains. Satpura is the only tiger reserve that allows walking safaris which are led by trained local guides. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 7 Satpura +

Have your breakfast at the resort and you will head to see flawless backdrop of hills and plateaus at the highest part of Deccan. The region is home to plethora of bird species and can be seen easily on your tour. The thick forests of the reserve provide some of the finest tiger habitat and are present in good numbers. Overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 8 Satpura - Maheshwar (402 Kms / Approx 10 Hrs. Drive) +

Kick start your day with breakfast and drive to Maheshwar. On arrival, check into the hotel and later visit Ahilya Fort which is one of Central India’s best kept secrets. Constructed in the late 17th century, the converted fortress continues to hold a commanding position above the banks of the sacred Narmada River. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 9 Maheshwar +

Munch in your breakfast and later explore the fort and walk down the riverside and ghats to witness the rituals of the local villagers. There are numerous shrines and temples which you can visit on your tour. The city of Maheshwar is also known for its sarees and are a thriving local industry. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 10 Maheshwar-Mandu (38 Kms / Approx 01 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

After breakfast, drive to Mandu which is perched in a dominant position. Mandu is known to be an architectural masterpiece of Islamic style with fines buildings spread over the region. Spend the day at leisure and overnight stay.

DAY 11 Maheshwar-Indore (95 Kms / Approx 02 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) -Flight-Delhi +

Enjoy your breakfast and check out from the hotel. Get transferred to Indore airport and from their board flight to Delhi. On arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 12 Departure +
Your tour will come to an end with your departure to the airport and from there board flight for your onward destination.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful. All hotel- casino kochi and fragrant nature Kollam was too good. Boathouse experience was great too. The helper Abu in boathouse cooked super fast and delicious food( chicken, prawn,fish and crab). We recently completed a tour to Kashmir, Amritsar, Shimla, and Manali organised by Traeminent, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish.
