Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Flight to India (New Delhi) +

On arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 2 New Delhi +

After breakfast, head for sightseeing tour of Delhi. Begin your tour with a visit to the famous Qutub Minar which is an 11th century monument. Head to visit some of the other attractions like India Gate, President’s House, Red Fort, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Laxmi Narayan Temple. Proceed to see Old Delhi where you will visit Chandni Chowk, Spice Market and enjoy the local delicacies of the city. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 3 New Delhi- Flight - Bhubaneswar +

Today in the morning, drive to the airport and board flight for Bhubaneswar. Considered to be a sacred city in Orissa, Bhubaneswar is a popular tourist attraction that has attracted tourists from all over the world. On arrival, get transferred to pre-booked Hotel in Bhubaneswar. If time permits visit Bhubaneswar Khandagiri, Udayagiri Caves and Tribal Museum. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

DAY 4 Bhubaneswar - Konark – Puri (108 Kms / Approx 03 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, head for sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar. Visit some of the classical temple like Lingraja, Rajrani and Mukteswara temples and then proceed to Konark which was once the centre of Buddhism in India. This place is now popular for the Hindu Temples. Here you will visit the famous Surya Temple which is dedicated to God Surya. Later drive to Puri and on arrival, check into your hotel. Overnight stay at Puri.

DAY 5 Puri +

Enjoy your breakfast and head for sightseeing tour of Puri. Begin your tour with Jagannath Temple of Puri which is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. The temple is also known as the white Pagoda and it can accommodate 5000 priests in its premises. Later in the afternoon, visit Puri Beach which is known to be one of the finest beaches in India, visit of Raghurajpur artisan’s village famous for patta Painting and Palm leaf writing. Return back by evening and overnight stay at Puri.

DAY 6 Puri - Chilika Lake- Tapta Pani (229 kms / 06 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, drive to Tapta Pani and enroute visit Chilika Lake and enjoy boating (at your own) and roadside tribal villages. Overnight stay at Tapta Pani.

DAY 7 Tapta Pani - Rayagada (154 Kms / approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, drive to Rayagada and enroute visit Desia Kondh Tribal Village in Puttasing. Then get ready to hike on the Niyamagiri Hills where you will get to view Dongaria Kondh Tribal hamlets. Return back to Rayagada and enroute visit Kutia Kondh Tribal Village.

DAY 8 Rayagada - Chatikona- Jeypore (163 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

Enjoy breakfast and early morning drive to Chatikona. Visit Dongariya Kondh Weekly tribal market then back to hotel for lunch. Relax for sometime and then head to Jeypore. Enroute visit a few road side Kondh villages. Overnight stay at Jeypore.

Note: Weekly market is on Wednesday only.

DAY 9 Jeypore - Onukudelli - Jeypore +

Enjoy your breakfast and drive further and head to visit Onukudelli with packed lunch. Explore the Bonda and Gadhaba tribal weekly market. After that visit some of Gadhaba villages and then back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Jeypore.

Weekly market is on Thursday.

DAY 10 Jeypore - Vishakhapatanam- Flight- Kolkata +

Morning will be at leisure and later in the afternoon drive to Vishakhapatanam from where you will board flight to Kolkata. On arrival, get transferred to your hotel for overnight stay in Kolkata.

DAY 11 Kolkata +

After breakfast, head for sightseeing tour of Kolkata where you will visit Victoria Memorial, Chowringhee and Dalhousie Square, Jain Temple, Fort Williams. Return back by evening for overnight stay.

DAY 12 Kolkata- Flight- New Delhi +

Munch in your breakfast and drive to the airport from where you will board flight to Delhi. On arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 13 New Delhi +
Your tour will come to an end with your departure to the airport and from there board flight for your onward destination.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
