Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival at New Delhi +

On arrival, meet our guide who will transfer you to the booked hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 2 At New Delhi +

Today after breakfast, go for a sightseeing tour of the capital city. Begin your tour with a visit to the famous Qutub Minar which is an 11th century monument. Head to visit some of the other attractions like India Gate, President’s House, Red Fort, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Laxmi Narayan Temple. Proceed to see Old Delhi where you will visit Chandni Chowk, Spice Market and enjoy the local delicacies of the city. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 3 New Delhi - Jaipur (269 Kms / Approx 06 Hrs. Drive) +

Today after breakfast, drive to Jaipur which is your next stop on this tour. Enroute visit Rail Museum at Rewari and enjoy tea or coffee snacks. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

DAY 4 At Jaipur +

Enjoy delicious breakfast at the hotel and later visit Amber Fort where you will be enjoying the elephant ride that will take you to the top of the palace. You will then be visiting the Jag Mandir, Victoria Hall, Sheesh Mahal which are popular tourist attractions of Jaipur. Continue your tour of the sightseeing tour of Jaipur where you will be visiting other places like Maharaja’s City Palace which is a former Royal residence and now functional as a museum. Later visit Jantar Mantar which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and largest site stone and marble in Jaipur. Enjoy a photography session at the Hawa Mahal and admire the beauty of the region.

DAY 5 Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (241 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, drive to Agra and enroute visit Fatehpur Sikhri which is yet another popular tourist attraction of Agra. Continue your drive to Agra and on arrival check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure.

DAY 6 Agra - Varanasi (By Night Train) +

Today at sunrise, visit the beautiful Taj Mahal and admire the beauty of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Later get back to your hotel and head for sightseeing tour of Agra where you will be visiting places like Agra Fort, Jahangir Palace, Diwan-I-Aam, Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb and Jama Masjid. Later by evening, get transferred to Agra railway station from where you will board the train for Varanasi.

DAY 7 Arrival at Varanasi (By Train) +

On arrival at the station, meet our guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel. After lunch, proceed for a guided tour of Sarnath which is an important site for the Buddhist pilgrims. Visit Dhamek Stupa and Chaukhandi Stupa. Return back by evening for overnight stay.

DAY 8 At Varanasi +

Begin your day with an exclusive morning boat ride on the River Ganges and witness the beautiful sunrise. Later get driven to Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is a 18th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the western banks of the Holy River Ganga, this temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas that has been spread across the country. You will then proceed to visit Tulsi Temple where Tulsidas, a popular Indian poet wrote epic Ramacharitramanas in the 16th Century. Visit Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple that is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Later get ready to enjoy visually appealing Ganga Arti that is performed every day at the Dashashwamedh Ghat. It is truly a divine experience to witness the aarti where you will hear the sound of the bells, priests saying the Sanskrit mantras etc. Return back to your hotel by evening and overnight stay at Varanasi.

DAY 9 Varanasi - Bodhgaya (251 Kms / Approx 07 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya and on arrival, check-in and refresh yourself. Proceed for half-day guided tour to Bodhgaya and visit Mahabodhi Temple, Sujata Village, Niranjana River and monasteries. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

DAY 10 Bodhgaya - Nalanda - Rajgir - Patna (194 Kms / 06 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Today after breakfast, drive to Patna and enroute visit Rajgir and Nalanda. Visit Gridhkutta, World Peace Stupa, Venuvanaram and Bimbisar Prison at Rajgir. Later after lunch, drive to Nalanda where you will be visiting the ruins of world ancient University. On arrival at Patna, check in at the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Patna.

DAY 11 Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar (245 Kms / approx 07 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kushinagar. Enroute visit Vaishali which is a special place for Buddhists. Visit the Ashoka Pillar, Lotus Tank and Chaumukhi. Later drive to Kushinagar and on arrival, check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 12 Kushinagar - Lumbini (146 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Have your breakfast and proceed for half day guided tour to Kushinagar where you will visit Mahaparinirvana Temple, Rambhar Stupa and Japan Temple. Later in the afternoon, drive to Lumbini. On arrival, check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 13 Lumbini - Kapilvastu - Shravasti (197 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, visit the holy place of Lord Buddha. Later check out from the hotel and drive to Shravasti and enroute visit Kapilvastu. On arrival at Shravasti, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 14 Shravasti - Lucknow (152 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs. Drive) - New Delhi (By Train) +

Today after breakfast, proceed to visit Saheth and Maheth. Later check out and drive to Lucknow. On arrival, get transferred to railway station to board the train for Delhi. On arrival, check in to the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.

DAY 15 Departure from New Delhi +

Munch in your delicious breakfast at the hotel and get driven to Delhi airport for your onward journey.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
