Arrive at Bandaranaike International airport where you will be warmly greeted and later transfer to the booked hotel in Negombo. Check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Negombo.
Enjoy delicious breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Kandy which is a 3 hours from Negombo. Enroute head to visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which is a popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. This well known orphanage was started in 1975 that houses abandoned and wounded elephants. These gigantic creatures have been brought from various parts and have been kept here for their safety. You can feed and bathe them and watch the, from a closer view. Proceed to Kandy and overnight stay at Kandy.
After breakfast head to visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden which is considered to be the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Later visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which is yet another popular attraction to see in Kandy. After your enthralling safari tour, return back to your hotel in Yala for overnight stay.
Proceed to Bentota after breakfast and en route visit Galle Fort and beach. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese on the South western coast of Sri Lanka. The fort underwent modifications in the 17th century by the Dutch making it one of the most well known historical attractions of Sri Lanka. Spend your day admiring the beauty of the city at the beach. On arrival at Bentota, check in and overnight stay at Bentota.
Later get ready for Bentota city tour where you will visit Koskoda Turtle Hatchery. The tortoise hatchery is a successful conservation project that helps to maintain and improve sea turtle stability. This is a great company who planned and organised my trip to the Golden Triangle with an additional 2 days in the trip was tailor made to my requirements and flight times. Excellent pre-engagement before the trip by email and WhatsApp. I was allocated a driver for the week called Sandeep who I would say is one of the best drivers in India. He got me safely and efficiently from place to place throughout the trip. All guides in each location were excellent and made the trip all the more memorable. Special mention to the guide and driver at Ranthambore fort who were good fun and encouraged me to run back to the jeep as a tiger was sighted nearby. Drove at speed and missed the tiger but got to see a leopard which was awesome. Also guide at Agra who got me there nice and early that I more or less had the Taj Mahal to myself! In conclusion this company deserves maximum rating for such a brilliant week from start to finish. Great planning. Had a great time in Shimla. Everything from the toy train, hotels, driver, train journey back to Delhi were planned so well. All we had to do was turn up. South India Tour. We just returned from India last week. It was a mixed kind of experience. Our trip started out well then took a U-turn due to pot holes and making the mistake of drinking filter water at the Marriott. Regardless of how tired you are, at all time get Mineral water! This is one mistake I’ll never make again. Because of this our trip wasn’t as amazing as it would have been. However, our driver named Naufel was very attentive. I got prescription my a doctor and Naufel picked all the medications we needed. He worked with our timing. Most of our time was spent in the hotel room instead of being out and about. We recently completed a tour to Kashmir, Amritsar, Shimla, and Manali organised by Traeminent, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. Kashmir was absolutely breathtaking — from the serene Dal Lake to the stunning landscapes of Gulmarg. The houseboat stay was a highlight. Shimla and Manali were equally memorable, offering beautiful mountain views, enjoyable local experiences, and well-coordinated sightseeing. The toy train ride in Shimla and the overall hill station experience were particularly special.
