Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Negombo Arrival +

Arrive at Bandaranaike International airport where you will be warmly greeted and later transfer to the booked hotel in Negombo. Check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at Negombo.

DAY 2 Negombo- Kandy ( 104 Kms / Approx 03 Hrs. Drive) +

Enjoy delicious breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Kandy which is a 3 hours from Negombo. Enroute head to visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which is a popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. This well known orphanage was started in 1975 that houses abandoned and wounded elephants. These gigantic creatures have been brought from various parts and have been kept here for their safety. You can feed and bathe them and watch the, from a closer view. Proceed to Kandy and overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 3 Kandy +

After breakfast head to visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden which is considered to be the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Later visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which is yet another popular attraction to see in Kandy. The Relic is known to be Sri Lanka’s most prized possession as it is religious in the Buddhist world. In the evening, enjoy the cultural dance show that features numerous dance types of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 4 Kandy- Nuwara Eliya (79 Kms / Approx 03 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya which is your next stop on this Sri Lankan Tour. Enroute visit Ramboda Hanumanji Temple, Tea Plantation and Ramboda Falls. By afternoon, proceed to Nuwara Eliya where you will be exploring some of the fascinating attractions of the city such as Gregory Lake where you will get to enjoy the scenic boat ride. See the Amman Temple and Asoka Vatika, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 5 Nuwara Eliya- Yala (170 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

Today, after a sumptuous breakfast, proceed to Yala which is approximately 6 hours from Nuwara Eliya. By evening head to visit the famous Yala National park which is famous for its big herds of elephants, leopards, crocodiles, mongoose, wild buffalo etc. Take a jeep safari for approximately 2 hours where you will get to see amazing wildlife of Sri Lanka. After your enthralling safari tour, return back to your hotel in Yala for overnight stay.

DAY 6 Yala- Bentota (223 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs. Drive) +

Proceed to Bentota after breakfast and en route visit Galle Fort and beach. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese on the South western coast of Sri Lanka. The fort underwent modifications in the 17th century by the Dutch making it one of the most well known historical attractions of Sri Lanka. Spend your day admiring the beauty of the city at the beach. On arrival at Bentota, check in and overnight stay at Bentota.

DAY 7 Bentota +

Later get ready for Bentota city tour where you will visit Koskoda Turtle Hatchery. The tortoise hatchery is a successful conservation project that helps to maintain and improve sea turtle stability. Experience the hatchery operations, and hear about the fascinating creatures. Indulge in enthralling water sports like Jet Ski, water tubing etc. After your sightseeing tour, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 8 Bentota- Colombo ( 103 Kms / Approx 02 Hrs. Drive)Airport Drop Departure +

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Colombo that will take approximately 2- hours from Bentota. Drive through the city where you will be covering famous places like Sea Street, Bazaar area, Dutch Church, Cinnamon Gardens, etc. Witness the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square. For shopaholics, Colombo is a paradise as it boasts of various sites where one can buy souvenirs or other things. On completion of your tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
