Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival at Delhi with full day Sightseeing +

Our representative will meet and greet at the airport and get you transferred to hotel. After freshen up, walk thith a visit to Old Delhi covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort (Outer view), Rajghat. Later, walk through the bustling bazaars of the area on foot. In Afternoon, head to the Qutub Minar (tallest brick minaret in the world) followed by a drive past the official residence of President of India, Parliament House and a popular historical attraction- the India Gate built in honor of sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

DAY 2 Delhi - Kalka (By Train) Kalka Shatabdi (0740-1145 hours) Kalka – Shimla by Toy Train Himalayan Queen/ 1210-1730 hours +
Morning transfer to railway station to board train to Kalka. Upon arrival, board a Toy Train to Shimla. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel in Shimla. Overnight stay at hotel in Shimla.
DAY 3 Sultry Shimla +

After a hearty breakfast, go for a sightseeing tour of Shimla- a former summer capital of India for the British. This tour comprises visits to the Jakhu Temple, Hanuman Temple and Christ Church. In afternoon, go for an excursion to Kufri for a pristine snowy getaway and later, return back to hotel for Overnight stay at hotel in Shimla.

DAY 4 Shimla - Manali (246 Kms / Approx 08 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Manali with en-route visits to Sundernagar Lake, Pandoh Dam and Kullu. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel in Manali. Spend day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Manali.

DAY 5 Magical Manali +

Wake up and settle for breakfast. Head for a full-day sightseeing tour of Manali covering Hadimba Temple, Tibetan monastery and Tibetan handicrafts centre and Vashist Kund famous for its hot springs and temples. Spend evening with a walk through the popular Mall Road. Overnight stay at hotel in Manali.

DAY 6 Manali - Dharamshala (219 Kms / Approx 07 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed with a drive to Dharamshala. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Spend day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala .

DAY 7 Divine Dharamshala +

After breakfast, go on a full-day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and a holy visit to the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and Bhagsunag Falls & Bhagsu Temple in McLeodganj. Also, visit the Church of St. John, War Memorial, Kangra Art Museum, high altitude Cricket Stadium of India nestled at approx. 10, 200 feet and end the day with a tour at the Norburlingka Institute. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

DAY 8 Dharmshala-Dalhousie (119 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, check-out and drive to Dalhousie. Upon arrival. check-in at hotel and later, settle for Dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie.

DAY 9 Dainty Dalhousie +

After breakfast, head for a day excursion to Khajjiar, popular as the Switzerland of India. This most scenic saucer shaped Plateau is cradled in the dense expanse of pine and deodar forests. A small lake in the center adds to its charm. It also has a floating island and 9-hole golf course to keep you entertained. Later, drive back to Dalhousie and spend rest of day at leisure followed by dinner. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie.

DAY 10 Dalhousie - Amritsar (202 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

After breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive to Amritsar. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Spend day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Amritsar.

DAY 11 Amusing Amritsar +

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Amritsar covering the magnificent Golden Temple , Jalianwalla Bagh witness the daily Wagah Border Beating Retreat and feel the patriotic vibes flowing in you. Later, drive back to Amritsar. Overnight stay at hotel in Amritsar.

DAY 12 Amritsar - Delhi (By Train): Amritsar Shatabdi- 0500-1100 Hours Leave Delhi +
Early morning transfer to Amritsar railway station to board train to Delhi. Depart Amritsar: 0500 Hours Arrive Delhi: 1100 Hours by Amritsar Shatabdi. Upon arrival in Delhi, straight transfer to Delhi International Airport to bord your flight back home.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
