Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival at New Delhi +

On arrival at the airport, meet our representative who will assist you with your transfers to your booked hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

DAY 2 New Delhi - Vrindavan (183 Kms / Approx 03 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Vrindavan. The distance from Delhi to Vrindavan is about 3.5 hours. On arrival, check into the hotel and later in the afternoon head to Barsana where you will witness the most vibrant festival of colour. Scores of people from all corners of India visit Vrindavan and Mathura to be a part of this occasion. The festival begins with Lathmar Holi which is played in Barsana, a quaint village in Mathura. It usually begins a week before the main festival and during the celebrations, women from Barsana gather with wooden sticks in their hands and welcome men from Nandgaon with the stick and beat them. This ritual is part of the old tradition of Hindu Mythology. Enjoy watching the ritual or even be a part of it. By evening return back to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 3 Vrindavan (Nandgaon Lathmar Holi) +

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and depart for Nandgaon. It is said that Lord Krishna spent his childhood here at this place. As the legend goes and it is believed that Radha with her friends would come to this village and take revenge on Krishna and his friends by splashing colours on them. Men and transgenders dressed as women from Barsana visit Nandgaon to celebrate this auspicious festival. These men are welcomed with water and colour and are very unique as the menfolk play Holi with women. The festival is celebrated in the courtyard of the temple at Nandgaon and people from both the villages sit across each other dancing and singing. Enjoy the vibrant feel of the festival and later return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 4 Vrindavan (Holi in Vrindavan and Banke Bihari Temple (Rangbharni Ekadashi) +

Munch in your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Banke-Bihari Temple that hosts long week celebrations during Holi. During the festivities, Bihariji-Krishna’s popular name in Braj is dressed up in white clothes and the priests in the temple sprinkle colours on everyone. With lively music (bhajans) in the background and people dancing to the tunes is surreal to watch. After experiencing the festivities, return back to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 5 Vrindavan - Agra - Vrindavan (78 Kms / Approx 02 Hrs. One way) +

The widows in India is believed to have had a difficult life and they are often banished from their homes and sent off to live in far off ashrams in places like Varanasi and Vrindavan. These women are allowed to wear white clothes and can never play or use colours. This norm was changed a couple of years ago when widows of Pagal Baba Widow Ashram decided to do away with this ritual and instead play with colours. It is a one of kind experience to be a part of this festivity and bring some cheer in the lives of the widows. Return back by evening and overnight stay at the hotel.

What Our Travellers Say

View All Reviews

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok, nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

We recently completed a tour to Kashmir, Amritsar, Shimla, and Manali organised by Traeminent, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The itinerary was very well planned, allowing us to comfortably explore each destination without feeling rushed. Kashmir was absolutely breathtaking — from the serene Dal Lake to the stunning landscapes of Gulmarg. The houseboat stay was a highlight. Amritsar added a spiritual dimension to the trip, with a seamless visit to the Golden Temple and Wagah Border. Shimla and Manali were equally memorable, offering beautiful mountain views, enjoyable local experiences, and well-coordinated sightseeing. The toy train ride in Shimla and the overall hill station experience were particularly special. The logistics throughout the trip were handled efficiently, transport was comfortable, hotels were well chosen, and the support from the Traeminent team was consistent and dependable. We always felt well taken care of. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable journey. I would highly recommend Traeminent to anyone looking for a well-organised and enriching travel experience.
