This national park is perched at an impressive altitude of approx. 12,000 ft. and is named after the famous 400-year old Hemis Monastery nestled in this park. This monastery is home to a thousand monks who can be observed doing their daily practices and you can discover various Buddhist cultures and traditions here.

The Hemis National Park is the largest park of South Asia that is an abode to Blue sheeps, Yaks, Wild Horses, and birdlife. The best time to go on a trek to this national park and for maximum spotting from May to September. Ladakh is famous as the land of high passes. It abounds in alluring heritage spread across the region.

The mesmerizing wildness and magic of this region is truly worth exploring. This exotic destination is also popular as the as the highest plateau located at an altitude of 9, 800 ft. Known for its extreme deserts, pristine waters, breezy winds, and sand dunes,  it is a place secluded from the modern world. 

This region witnesses around 20-30 degree Celsius temperature in summer. There are occasional rains and snowfall is observed from November to March. The winter months are good for trekking enthusiasts.
