Mauritius · Family · July 2026 · 5 Nights / 6 Days

Kerala is a wonderful place for a family holiday. It offers green hills, serene backwaters, wildlife and charming coastal towns. In July 2026, a family travelling from Mauritius chose a 5 nights 6 days Kerala tour to explore these different sides of South India. Their journey took them through Thekkady, Munnar, Alleppey and Kochi, with each destination offering something different.

At TraEminent India Tours, we arranged their Kerala family holiday. From the first booking arrangements to the final airport transfer, our team worked to make their journey smooth and memorable.

A Nature-Filled Start in Thekkady

The Kerala journey of this family began with a drive to Thekkady. This place is popular for its green forests, spice plantations and natural beauty. After reaching their hotel, they had time to relax before starting their sightseeing. The next day, the family took a boat ride on Periyar Lake. The ride offers stunning views of the surrounding forest. It also offers chances to spot birds and wildlife near the water. This was an amazing way to begin exploring the natural side of Kerala before heading to Munnar. Their driver, Binil, also played an important role throughout the trip. In their Tripadvisor review, the family praised him for being punctual, friendly and always ready to help whenever they needed anything.

Discovering the Beauty of Munnar

From Thekkady, the family continued their journey to Munnar. It is a hill station known for its green tea gardens and beautiful views. The drive was filled with winding roads, waterfalls and green hills which makes it a scenic part of their Kerala holiday. During their stay, the sightseeing plan included Munnar tea gardens, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and Photo Point. These places offer lovely views of the hills and surrounding landscapes. Munnar brought a change of scenery to the family’s trip. After spending time among the forests of Thekkady, they could enjoy the peaceful hill surroundings before heading to Alleppey.

A Peaceful Cruise Through Alleppey’s Backwaters

Next, the family travelled to Alleppey which is a popular destination known for its beautiful backwaters. Here, they were scheduled to enjoy a houseboat cruise through the peaceful waterways of Kerala. As the houseboat moves along, visitors can see palm trees, green fields and small villages along the banks. It is a relaxing way to enjoy the natural charm of Kerala and see a different side of local life. The cruise included lunch, followed by evening tea or coffee and snacks on board. After spending the afternoon on the water, the family continued their journey to Kochi for the night. An Alleppey houseboat experience is a popular part of our private Kerala tour.

Exploring the Streets & Sights of Kochi

On the final day, the family explored Kochi before their flight home. They explored popular places such as Chinese Fishing Nets, St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jew Town and the Spice Market. These places offer a blend of coastal views, local markets and old streets to explore. Kochi was the last stop on their 5 nights 6 days Kerala tour package before we arranged their transfer to the airport.

How We Planned Their Kerala Family Holiday

We planned the family’s 5-night 6-day Kerala tour, including hotel stays, sightseeing and private travel in an air-conditioned Toyota Innova Crysta. Their driver, Binil, stayed with them throughout the trip, making travel between destinations easier. We also booked two rooms at each hotel, with the option of connecting rooms or rooms next to each other. Jugmohan and Alok managed the trip details from the booking stage. The family could also choose optional activities based on their interests and preferences. It gives them more flexibility during their Kerala holiday.

With our South India tours, discover beautiful landscapes, charming towns and unforgettable experiences across the region.
