Leh-Sham Valley-Lamayuru-Khardung -La-Nubra Valley-Pangong -Lake-Leh
On arrival at the airport, meet our guide who will transfer you to your booked hotel. Check in on arrival and rest of the day is for leisure. If time permits, visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. Overnight stay at Leh.
Today after breakfast, proceed downstream to Sham Valley. Enroute visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River, Likir Monastery. Later continue your drive to River Indus or Uletokpo or Tingmosgang and enroute visit Ridzong monastery. On arrival at Sham Valley, check in at the camp and overnight stay at Sham Valley.
Enjoy your breakfast and drive back to Leh. Enroute visit Lamayuru Monastery which is situated along the valley plain and surrounded by mountains on all sides. On arrival, check in at the camp for overnight stay.
Post breakfast, head to Khardungla Pass that lies north of Leh and is the getaway to Nubra Valley and Shok Valley. Khardungla Pass is the world’s highest motorable pass which is nestled at an elevation of 17,852 ft. Proceed to Nubra Valley and on arrival, check into the camp for overnight stay.
Have your delicious breakfast and explore nomadic villages, meet tribal people in Nubra valley. You can even enjoy a double hump Bactrian camel ride and see the surrounding view. Visit the famous Diskit monastery and later return back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Today proceed to Pangong Lake and enroute visit Shey Palace which is known to be the ancient capital of Upper Ladakh. Then drive to Thiksey village and continue your journey to Changla pass which is the third highest motorable road in the world. Drive down to Tangtse where you can take a sip of tea and relax for a while. Continue your journey to Pangong Lake via cross the village of Changthang. On arrival at Pangong, check into your camp for overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed to explore the lake and other places nearby. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Leh and enroute visit Hemis, Gompa which is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism.
