Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Delhi – Arrival +
Welcome to India. Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, and our representative will meet you and drive to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and rest for the day. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.
DAY 2 Delhi – Khajuraho (By overnight Train: KKDE KURJ EXP | 06:20 PM – 08:00 AM) +
After breakfast, head for Delhi sightseeing tour covering Jama Masjid (Enjoy the Rickshaw ride here), drive past the Red Fort and visit Raj Ghat, Humayun’s. Tomb. Later, proceed to India Gate, a cenotaph commemorating Indian martyrs, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan Qutab Minar and the Lotus Temple. You will be later transferred to the railway station to board overnight train for Khajuraho. Overngiht stay at train to Khajuraho.
DAY 3 Khajuraho – Sightseeing +

Morning arrival at Khajuraho railway station around 08:00 am. Our representative will transfer you to the hotel (early check-in subject to room availability). After some relaxation, head for sightseeing tour to the Khajuraho Group of Temples that date back to the 10th and 11th centuries and lie in three distinct groups each about 2 Km. apart. The Western Group of Temples is the largest and most well-preserved temple complexs. The other two groups Eastern and Jain are smaller yet a must discover. In the evening, enjoy a captivating Sound and Light Show at the Western Temples. It is a 50-minute show that begins at dusk and is presented first in English. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Khajuraho.

DAY 4 Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh (By Road: 230 Kms / 5 Hours Drive) +
Wake up and settle for breakfast. Later, check out from the hotel and drive to Bandhavgarh. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Spend the day at leisure. In the evening, enjoy delicious snacks with fireworks display. Overnight stay at hotel in Bandhavgarh.
DAY 5 Bandhavgarh – Wildlife Jeep Safari +
Wake up early morning and head for morning safari at the Bandhavgarh National Park. Track the Tigers and other wildlife throughout the morning. Return to the resort/lodge by 1000 AM and settle for a hearty breakfast. After some relaxation, freshen up and get ready for evening jeep safari at the tiger reserve from 1700 - 1800 Hrs. Return to the hotel and in the evening, enjoy delicious snacks with tribal folk dance/ Wildlife movies with bonfire. Overnight stay at hotel in Bandhavgarh.
DAY 6 Bandhavgarh – Kanha (240 Kms / 6 Hours Drive) +
Wake up early and set off for jungle safari inside the national park for amazing wildlife viewing. Later, return to hotel for delicious breakfast that will be served and then proceed to Kanha National Park. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and the rest of the day will be at leisure. In the evening, enjoy delicious snacks with tribal folk dance/ Wildlife movies with bonfire. Overnight stay at hotel in Kanha.
DAY 7 Kanha – Wildlife Jeep Safari +
Kick start your morning with jungle safari where you will get to spot rare species from a closer view. Return back to the lodge for breakfast and rest for a while. In the afternoon, eat lunch and head for another safari tour where you can spot tigers from a closer view. Return back to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy delicious snacks with tribal folk dance/ Wildlife movies with bonfire. Overnight stay at hotel in Kanha.
DAY 8 Kanha – Bhedaghat – Jabalpur (By Road: 160 Kms / 4 Hours Drive) +
After a leisure breakfast in morning, drive to Jabalpur. Enroute, visit the Chausath Yogini Temple, and Dhuandhar Waterfalls in Bhedaghat. Later, drive to Jabalpur. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Jabalpur.
DAY 9 Jabalpur – Chanderi (By Road: 350 Kms / 6.5 Hours Drive) +
After a leisure breakfast in morning, drive to Chanderi. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel. After little relaxation, head for day excursion to Chanderi Fort, Kati Ghati and Khuni Darwaza. Overnight stay at hotel in Jabalpur.
DAY 10 Chanderi – Orchha (By Road: 107 Kms / 2.5 Hours Drive) +
Enjoy morning breakfast at the hotel and later, drive to Orchha. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and after some relaxation, proceed for sightseeing tour of Orchha sites within the Fort Complex. Overnight stay at hotel in Orchha.
DAY 11 Orchha – Jhansi – Gwalior (By Road: 120 Kms / 3 Hours Drive) +

Enjoy morning breakfast at the hotel and later, drive to Gwalior. En route, vissit the Jhansi Fort and Rani Mahal. Continue drive to Gwalior. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and after some relaxation, discover the hillfort complex of the centuries-old Gwalior Fort. Perched on a vast rocky hill, this imposing fort is constructed from lime and sandstone. It is one of the most prominent structure of the city that houses various palaces, many temples, big entry gates. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Gwalior.

DAY 12 Gwalior – Padhavali – Mitaoli - Agra By Road: 150 Kms / 4 Hours Drive) +
Wake up and have early morning breakfast. Check out from the hotel and proceed for drive to Agra. Enroute, visit the Gwalior Sun Temple and the Bateshwar Group of Temple's at Padhavali and Ekattarso Mahadev Mandir (Chausath Yogini Temple) at Mitaoli. Continue drive to Agra. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.
DAY 13 Agra – Delhi (By Evening Train) | TAJ EXPRESS #12279 (6:20 PM / 9:35 PM) +

Wake up and head for early morning visit to the TAJ MAHAL (Closed on Fridays). Return to the hotel and enjoy breakfast. After some relaxation, check out from the hotel and visit the Agra Fort and the Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb. Evening transfer to the railway station to board superfast train to Delhi. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and relax for the day. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

DAY 14 Delhi – Departure +

After leisure breakfast, checkout from the hotel by 12:00 Noon. Enjoy local shopping tour at Delhi's famous local markets including Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, and Janpath. Later, transfer to the Delhi International Airport to board flight back home.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
