Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival in Kathmandu +

Your Nepal vacation tour will begin with your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Meet our guide who will pick and transfer you to the hotel. On arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2 City tour of Kathmandu +

Today after breakfast, get ready for city tour of Kathmandu. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu is also known as Kantipur and is a well-known tourist site that has seen many people from all over the world. In the first half of your sightseeing tour, you will be visiting the temple of the Living Goddess, Kathmandu Durbar Square which is overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace which is an ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty. Next you will head to Swayambhunath which is situated approximately 4 km from the city. Said to be 2000 years old, this Buddhist Stupa is a major tourist site that has attracted tourists from everywhere. This magnificent structure houses solid hemisphere of brick and earth that supports a conical spire which is capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Rest for a while and later get ready to explore some other famous attractions of the city. Later in the evening, you will be heading to Patan which is your next stop on this Nepal tour packages. Patan is considered to be one of the three great cities of Kathmandu Valley and is the cultural heart of Nepal. Situated 5 km South of Kathmandu Valley, this well known city is believed to be the first settlement in the valley and was established by the Kirat Dynasty. DAY 3 Kathmandu- Pashupatinath- Bouddhanath- Kathmandu (05 Kms / Approx 30 Mint. One Way Drive) +

After breakfast, you will be heading to Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath which are yet another tourist places in Nepal. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River in Deopatan, Pashupatinath is a Hindu Temple that has seen heavy footfall of devotees from all over the world. This well known temple is dedicated to manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati who is also known as the Lord of Animals. Adorned with wood carvings of members of Shiva’s family and beautiful interior, this temple is a must visit attraction in Nepal. After the temple tour, head to Bouddhanath Stupa which is known to be the largest stupa and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist Temple in the entire country. DAY 4 Kathmandu to Nagarkot via Bhadgaon (27 Kms / Approx 01 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Enjoy your breakfast and drive to Nagarkot which is your next tour destination on this Nepal Tour. Enroute visit Bhadgaon which is known to be an old city founded in the ninth century. Famous for its architecture of pagoda style copper roofs, this city is extraordinarily beauty and attracts tourists from all over the world. DAY 5 Nagarkot- Pokhara (225 Kms / Approx 07 Hrs. Drive) +

Later in the evening, get ready to go for half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Today you will be visiting Bindybasini Temple which is perched on the top of a small hill. This well-known temple is believed to be one of the oldest temples in the valley and is visited by thousands of devotees every year. Head to Seti River that runs through the main city area and proffers stunning views of the dreadful rush before it vanishes at Bagar into a deep gorge. For shopaholics, you can visit old bazaar which is extended in the heart of the city beneath the Bindayabasini Temple. Protected as an old heritage site of Pokhara, travelers can view old houses, temples and various cultural activities of Newari. Move on to Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal. DAY 6 Pokhara -flight- Jomsom +

Have your breakfast at the hotel and meet our representative who will transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport from where you will board flight to Jomsom. On arrival check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Nestled beneath the Mount Nilgiri, Jomsom is a town situated in Mustang District. The spectacular view of Mt. Nilgiri and the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki Valley, this town should definitely be visited on your tour to Nepal. Overnight stay at Jomsom

DAY 7 Muktinath-Jomsom (24 Kms / Approx 01 Hrs. Drive) +

Today after breakfast, leave for Muktinath which is considered to be the famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus. As far as for the Hindus, Muktinath is known to be a sacred place for salvation and they believe that bathing in the waters here ensures salvation after death. For the Buddhists, it is a place where the great sage Guru Rinpoche came to meditate. It is he who brought Buddhism to Tibet and since then it has become a major pilgrimage site in Nepal. Return back to Jomsom for overnight stay.

DAY 8 Jomsom -flight- Pokhara +

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get transferred to the airport and fly back to Pokhara. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 9 Pokhara-Lumbini (164 Kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

Munch in your delicious breakfast at the hotel and drive to Lumbini which is your next stop on this tour to Nepal. On arrival check in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later in the evening, get ready for half day sightseeing tour to Lumbini. Birthplace of Lord Budhha, Lumbini is a popular tourist destination that has garnered tourists from all over the world. DAY 11 Kathmandu Airport Drop Departure +

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
