DAY 1 Kolkata – Arrival +
Arrive at the airport and meet our representative who will transfer you to your booked hotel. On arrival, check into the hotel and day kept free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.
DAY 2 Kolkata – Sightseeing +
After breakfast, proceed for full day city tour starting with Kalighat Kali Temple, St. Paul’s Cathedral Church, Victoria Memorial (Closed On Mondays & National holidays), Indian Museum (Closed On Mondays & National holidays), South Park Street Cemetery, Mother Teresa House (Closed On Thursdays & National holidays). Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.
DAY 3 Kolkata – Ranchi (By Vande Bharat Train: Depart@ 06:05 AM and Arrive @ 13:15 PM) +

Enjoy buffet breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Early morning transfer to railway Station to board train to Ranchi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. After freshen up, proceed for sightseeing covering the Patratu Valley & Dam, Kanke Dam, Rock Garden, Tagore Hill, and Nakshatra Van. Overnight stay at hotel in Ranchi.

DAY 4 Ranchi – Sightseeing +
Enjoy morning breakfast. Head for sightseeing tour covering visits to the Rajrappa Temple, Hundru Falls, Dassam Falls, Sun Temple, Deori Mandir & Rukka Dam etc. Overnight stay at hotel in Ranchi.
DAY 5 Ranchi – Bodhgaya (By Road: 5 Hours Drive) +

DAY 6 Bodhgaya – Sightseeing +

After breakfast, visit Chinese Temple & Monastery, 80 ft. Statue of the Buddha, International Buddhist House, and Japanese Temple, Thai Temple & Monastery, Tibetan Monastery, Sujata Kuti, Burmese Temple and the Royal Bhutan Monastery. Overnight stay at hotel in Bodhgaya.

DAY 7 Bodhgaya – Varanasi (By Road: 6 Hours Drive) +

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Drive to Varanasi, Check in at the hotel. Later In the evening, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremonyat the Dashashwamedh Ghat held every sunset by five priests dressed in white. These five young people choreographed movements apparently worship the river goddess with incense, camphor, flowers and mud lamps. Thousands of lighting lamps are immersed in the water of the sacred Ganges and the floating lamps add a divine aspect to the river. Overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi.

DAY 8 Varanasi – Excursion to Sarnath – Overnight Train to Kolkata (By Vande Bharat: Depart @ 01:42 AM and Arrive @ 10:10 AM) +
Enjoy early morning boat ride at the River Ganges. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later, head for morning city tour of Varanasi city where you would visit the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Banaras Hindu University. Later, head to Sarnath to explore the ruins, the Buddhist Stupa, and the Buddhist temple and the Museum (Museum closed on Fridays). Later, settle for dinner at a restaurant. Transfer to railway station to board train to Kolkata. Overnight stay in train to Kolkata.
DAY 9 Kolkata – Sightseeing +

Enjoy breakfast at leisure. Later, proceed for full day city tour starting with Dalhousie Square covering Raj Bhavan, St. John’s church, High Court, GPO, Town Hall, Writer’s Building and other important colonial buildings, Flower Market, Howrah Bridge, Jain Temple, and Kumartuli (The Potter’s colony). Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.

DAY 10 Kolkata - Departure +

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
