Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Delhi +

Begin your North & Central India tour with your arrival at Delhi. Our representative will pick and you and transfer you to your booked accommodation. On arrival check into the hotel and rest for a while. Freshen up and in the evening walk through the busy local markets of the capital city or you can spend your day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi. 

DAY 2 Delhi City Tour covering Forts +

Freshen up after your breakfast and get ready to explore the beautiful city of Delhi. Begin your day covering the major attractions of Old Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Rajghat. Founded by Shahjanabad, Jama Masjid is one of the famous attractions that should be visited when in Delhi. Admire the beautiful architecture and get to know about its historical importance. Then head to Red Fort which is situated in the centre of the city. This imposing structure showcases the Mughal era and attracts thousands of tourists from all across the globe. Head to Rajghat that holds a great significance in the history of India. Later go for a rickshaw ride through the busy streets of Chandni Chowk and witness the lively ambience of the city.

By afternoon, make your way to Humayun’s Tomb which is the final resting place of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. This splendid tomb stands in the middle of an ornate Mughal garden making it a famous place to visit in Delhi. Proceed to visit Qutub Minar which is a soaring and brave tower that was built by various rulers over the course of time. After the monument tour, drive past the residence of the President of India, Parliament House and India Gate that is built in the honor of sacrifices of Indian soldiers. DAY 3 Delhi -Flight- Varanasi +

Today after breakfast, leave for Varanasi which is your next stop on your heritage tour of North India. Meet our guide who will drop you at the airport and from there board flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the day at leisure. Varanasi is one of the holiest places in India attracting tourists and devotees from all over the world. In the evening, get ready to witness the amazing Ganga Aarti at the well known River Ganges and immerse in the religious atmosphere of the city. Later you can spend your day traversing through the bustling bazaars of the holy city of Varanasi. Overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi.

DAY 4 Enchanting Varanasi Tour +

Today, wake up and proceed for a scenic boat ride at River Ganges and visit some of the famous Ghats of the city. After refreshing your senses, return back to the hotel for delicious breakfast. Later drive to one of the famous Buddhist pilgrimage attractions such as Sarnath where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining nirvana. Then you will drive back to Varanasi for half day city tour. You will be visiting some of the famous temples of the city like Kashi Temple, Tulsi Temple and Hanuman Temple where you will come to know about the religious importance of the place. DAY 5 Varanasi - Ramnagar Fort(10 Kms / Approx 45 Mint. Drive) - Allahabad (128 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs. Drive) +

Have your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Allahabad which will be your next destination of this tour. Enroute visit Ramnagar Fort that is situated on the eastern side of the River Ganga. Take a stroll around the fort and visit the in-house museum that houses peculiar collection of weapons, ivory works, vintage cards, royal palanquins, antique clocks and much more. If you are a history buff, this place is just the right place for you. Later proceed to Allahabad which is also known as Prayagraj and a famous tourist attraction in India. Allahabad is considered to be an important pilgrimage centre and is well known for its Kumbh Mela. Head to visit the Allahabad Fort, Anand Bhawan which is known to be the former residence of Nehru family and now it has been converted into a museum. DAY 6 Allahabad - Khajuraho (301 Kms / Approx 07 Hrs. Drive) +

Munch in your breakfast and check out from the hotel. Proceed to Khajuraho which is a 7 hour drive from Allahabad. Khajuraho is believed to be the most religious capital of Chandellas and has garnered devotes almost from everywhere. Visit some of the world heritage sites of Khajuraho like rock paintings, Buddhist Stupas and temples that is sure to make your tour worthwhile. DAY 7 Captivating Khajuraho +

DAY 8 Khajuraho - Orchha (192 kms / Approx 05 Hrs. Drive) +

Today, the day is fixed to proceed to Orchha which is your next stop on the North India tour. Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Orchha which 4-5 hours drive from Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Freshen up and later proceed to visit the famous Orchha Fort, Raja Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple and Rani Maha that are some of the famous attractions of Orchha. After the city tour, return back to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 9 Orchha to Gwalior (121 kms / Approx 03 hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Have your breakfast, and then proceed to Gwalior which is a 3.5 Hour drive from Orchha. The city of Gwalior is enclosed with lofty hills from all sides and is one of the major attractions of India. DAY 10 Gwalior to Agra (120 kms / Approx 03 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

DAY 11 Agra to Fatehpur Sikri(37 Kms / Approx 01 hrs 30 Mint. Drive) - Jaipur (208 Kms / Approx 04 Hrs. Drive) +

Today wake up early to view the spectacular sunrise in the backdrop of the famous Taj Mahal. Have your breakfast and then check out from the hotel. Later drive to the city of Jaipur which is your next stop on this heritage tour to North India. DAY 12 Dazzling City Tour Jaipur +

DAY 13 Jaipur - Delhi (273 Kms / Approx 06 Hrs 30 Mint. Drive) +

Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel and later check out. Then drive to the capital city of India-Delhi. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Later in the evening, proceed for sightseeing tour of the city by visiting the ancient Akshardham Temple. This spectacular temple is a well known site and is considered to be the prime worship spot for Hindus. We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful.
