After breakfast, head for Delhi sightseeing tour covering Jama Masjid (Enjoy the Rickshaw ride here), drive past the Red Fort and visit Raj Ghat, Humayun’s Tomb. Later, proceed to India Gate, a cenotaph commemorating Indian martyrs, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple. You will be later transferred to the railway station to board overnight train for Khajuraho. Overnight train to Khajuraho.
Morning arrival at Khajuraho railway station around 08:00 am. Our representative will transfer you to the hotel (early check-in subject to room availability). After some relaxation, head for sightseeing tour to the Khajuraho Group of Temples that date back to the 10th and 11th centuries and lie in three distinct groups each about 2 Km. apart. The Western Group of Temples is the largest and most well-preserved temple comples. The other two groups Eastern and Jain are smaller yet a must discover. In the evening, enjoy a captivating Sound and Light Show at the Western Temples. It is a 50-minute show that begins at dusk and is presented first in English. Return to the hotel for the day. Enjoy morning breakfast at the hotel and later, drive to Gwalior. En route, visit the Jhansi Fort and Rani Mahal. Continue drive to Gwalior. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and after some relaxation, discover the hill fort complex of the centuries-old Gwalior Fort. Perched on a vast rocky hill, this imposing fort is constructed from lime and sandstone. It is one of the most prominent structure of the city that houses various palaces, many temples and big entry gates. Return to hotel for the day. Overnight stay at hotel in Gwalior.
Wake up and have early morning breakfast. Check out from the hotel and proceed for drive to Agra. Enroute, visit the Gwalior Sun Temple and the Bateshwar Group of Temples at Padhavali and Ekattarso Mahadev Mandir (Chausath Yogini Temple) at Mitaoli. Continue drive to Agra. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.
Wake up and head for early morning visit to the TAJ MAHAL (Closed on Fridays). Return to the hotel and enjoy breakfast. After some relaxation, check out from the hotel and visit the Agra Fort and the Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb. Evening transfer to the railway station to board superfast train to Delhi. Our tour was arranged by TraEminent India Tours. We flew from Mumbai to Madurai, Then by car to Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Kovalam, Alleppey boat house and to Cochin. Flew then to Goa and Mumbai. I was quite happy with the price for travel in a Toyota sedan and 3* accommodation. Very respectful and well English spoken driver with timeous pick up and drop off. Similar service in Mumbai as we were traveling from South Africa. No issues on internal flights or hotel bookings. All vouchers and flight tickets were issued on arrival. It's was a pleasant trip. 6 days and 5 nights - 3 couple. Cover kochi, Kollam and alappuzha boat house. The driver was good and helpful. All hotel- casino kochi and fragrant nature Kollam was too good. Boathouse experience was great too. The helper Abu in boathouse cooked super fast and delicious food( chicken, prawn,fish and crab). Personalised tour. The tour was well organised by Sunny and Mukesh. Flights booked/ hotels chosen and the final price was reasonable. The drivers they arranged in each city were professional/ clean reliable cars. We opted for the sedan car which was comfortable for the two of us. October to March is the best time for this tour because the weather remains pleasant for sightseeing. These months are comfortable for exploring the temples of Khajuraho, heritage sites of Orchha, Gwalior Fort and outdoor attractions at Padhavali and Mitaoli.
