Delhi is the starting point of this 16-day tour. It is a place where old history and modern life exist together. The perfect time to plan this 16-day north India trip is from October to March. The weather during these months is cool and pleasant which makes sightseeing easy. This season is also ideal to plan a 10 days itinerary for Madhya Pradesh. Summers can be very hot, especially in cities like Agra, Jaipur and Jodhpur so they are not ideal. Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive Delhi +
Arrive in Delhi and meet our representative or driver at the airport. Transfer to your hotel, check-in, freshen up, and relax.

Note: Hotel check-in is normally at 2:00 PM, but we will request early check-in. If the room is ready, you may get it by 12:00 PM.
DAY 2 Delhi Sightseeing +
After breakfast, hear for Delhi sightseeing tour. Visit Jama Masjid which is India’s largest mosque, then explore Chandni Chowk which is the oldest and biggest market in Old Delhi. Walk to Fatehpuri Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride till Red Fort. Here, you will meet with our driver who will take you to Rajghat. It is a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and see the eternal flame. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House and India Gate, then visit Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple. In the evening, visit Akshardham Temple and enjoy the Water Fountain Show. Overnight stay in Delhi.
DAY 3 Delhi - Khajuraho (By Train) +
Have breakfast and transfer to Delhi railway station for the Vande Bharat Express to Khajuraho (06:00 AM–14:20 PM). On arrival, meet the representative and transfer to your hotel. Check-in, relax and overnight stay in Khajuraho.
DAY 4 Khajuraho Sightseeing & Safari +
After breakfast, explore Western and Eastern groups of temples which are famous for their intricate carvings & architecture. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a safari at Panna National Park in a shared canter. Return to the hotel to relax. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
DAY 5 Khajuraho - Varanasi (By Train) +
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and check out from the hotel to visit local markets in Khajuraho. In the afternoon, transfer to the railway station and board the Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi (15:20 PM–23:10 PM). On arrival, meet the representative, transfer to your hotel and check-in. Relax and overnight stay in Varanasi.
DAY 6 Varanasi Sightseeing +
Start early with the Mangala Aarti at the Ganga and enjoy a boat ride. This boat tour will take you to various ghats of Varanasi like Manikarnika Ghat and Chausathi Ghat. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then visit Sarnath which is the sacred place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Explore Dharmarajika, Chaukhandi and Dhamekh stupas. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and check out from the hotel to visit local markets on your own. Around 14:00 PM, transfer to the railway station for the Vande Bharat Express to Agra (15:20 PM–22:20 PM). On arrival, meet the representative and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and overnight stay in Agra.
DAY 8 Agra Sightseeing +
Early morning, visit the iconic Taj Mahal to enjoy the sunrise over this famous symbol of love. This white marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then visit Agra Fort, Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb and Mehtab Bagh. Spend the evening exploring local markets. Overnight stay in Agra.
DAY 9 Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur +
Wake up and have your breakfast. Get ready to check out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Continue your drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
DAY 10 Jaipur Sightseeing +
Have your breakfast and then head for Jaipur sightseeing tour. We will visit Amber Fort which is a stunning fort set on a hill and known for its royal charm and history. Inside the fort, explore Jag Mandir, also known as the Victory Hall and admire the beautiful Sheesh Mahal which is famous for its sparkling mirror work on the walls & ceilings. Later, continue this city tour. Visit the City Palace which was once the residence of the Maharaja, where one part is now a museum and the other is still home to the royal family. Next, explore Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed site and the largest stone observatory in the world. Make a quick photo stop at Hawa Mahal which is also known as the Palace of Winds. In the evening, spend some free time in the local markets of Jaipur to shop for jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

DAY 11 Jaipur - Udaipur via Pushkar +
Enjoy breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. En route, visit Pushkar and see attractions including the Brahma Temple and Sacred Tank. Continue drive to Udaipur. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Udaipur.
DAY 12 Udaipur Sightseeing +
After breakfast, start your day by visiting the City Palace and admire its beautiful rooms with mirror work, ivory doors, colored glass windows, marble balconies and the peacock courtyard. Then visit Saheliyon ki Bari which is a peaceful garden made for royal ladies, followed by Jagdish Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Gulab Bagh. Next, explore the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, where you can see traditional dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks and dolls. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the famous Lake Pichola. Overnight stay in Udaipur.
DAY 13 Udaipur - Jodhpur via Ranakpur +
Have breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jodhpur. En route, visit Ranakpur, where you will explore Jain Temple with 1,444 intricately carved pillars and the nearby Sun Temple. Continue your drive to Jodhpur, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
DAY 14 Jodhpur Sightseeing +
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast. Get ready to visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort which is a grand fort built on a high cliff with beautiful red sandstone walls and amazing city views. Then visit Jaswant Thada which is a peaceful marble monument with fine carvings. Continue to Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the largest royal palaces. Later, return to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
DAY 15 Jodhpur - Delhi (By Train) +
Early morning, transfer to the railway station for the Vande Bharat Express to Delhi (05:30 AM–13:30 PM). On arrival, meet the representative and transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Delhi.
DAY 16 Departure from Delhi +
After sumptuous breakfast, check out from the hotel. Then transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Your North & Central India tour ends here.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
