Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival in Ho Chi Minh – Stay + Sightseeing +

Welcome to Vietnam! Once you land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you’ll be greeted and taken straight to your hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. After checking in, take a little time to unwind and settle in. Later, gear up for an exciting city tour!

You’ll start with a visit to the historic Independence Palace, followed by the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral and the charming Central Post Office. Then, step into the War Remnants Museum to gain insight into the Indochina War through powerful exhibits and stories that leave a lasting impact.

After a day full of exploration, you’ll head back to the hotel to rest up for the adventures ahead.

DAY 2 Ho Chi Minh – Day trip to Mekong Delta +

Today, leave the hotel behind as you set out to explore the scenic Mekong Delta on a guided day tour. Your first stop is the peaceful Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most beloved Buddhist temples, known for its striking architecture and serene atmosphere.

Next, head to Tortoise Islet, a lush little island perfect for soaking in the natural beauty of the delta. Set off from My Tho for a scenic boat journey along the waters of Mekong River. As you drift along, you’ll pass by floating homes and fish farms, offering a glimpse into the unique way of life in this river-based community.

Return to the hotel and rest for the day.

DAY 3 Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Da Nang +

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, gear up for an exciting visit to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels—an iconic symbol of Vietnam’s historic past. Dive into Vietnam’s wartime history as you explore this vast underground network once used by soldiers during the Vietnam War. You’ll even have the chance to crawl through a section of the tunnels yourself an experience that truly brings the past to life.

Once the tour wraps up, head back to the hotel to collect your bags and check out. From there, you’ll be driven to Tan Son Nhat International Airport to catch your flight to Da Nang and continue your Vietnam journey.

Reach Da Nang International Airport where our representative will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Rest and unwind for the day. 

DAY 4 Danang – Cam Thanh Basket Boat Trip – Leisure Day +

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind adventure as you head to Cam Thanh, a charming village known for its lush coconut forests. Hop into a traditional round bamboo basket boat and gently cruise through the peaceful waterways, surrounded by swaying palms. Along the way, catch a glimpse of local fishermen in action and even give fishing a try yourself – a fun way to connect with the local culture.
After this immersive experience, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day in leisure mode. You might want to stroll along the golden sands of My Khe Beach or check out the iconic Dragon Bridge lighting up the city skyline. When you’re ready, head back to your hotel on your own for a restful overnight stay.

DAY 5 Da Nang – Day Tour of Ba Na Hills +

Today after breakfast, get pumped up for a full-day adventure to the Ba Na Hills. Enjoy a scenic cable car ride from Suoi Mo Station to Marseille Station taking in the stunning mountain and forest views as you go higher. Once you reach the top, take a leisurely walk across the iconic Golden Bridge, letting the stunning views and surreal setting leave you in awe. Next, head over to the serene Linh Ung Pagoda, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Da Nang Beach.

For added excitement, dive into the fun at Fantasy Park, filled with thrilling attractions. Wrap up your day with a visit to the Debay Wine Cellar, where you'll discover the fascinating process behind traditional wine-making. After a day full of excitement and stunning sights, you'll be driven back to your hotel to relax and recharge for the next day.

DAY 6 Da Nang – Hanoi +
Today, it’s time to check out and head to Da Nang International Airport for your flight to Hanoi. Once you land at Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be greeted and driven to your hotel—perfect time to unwind a bit and settle in. After a short rest, gear up for an exciting sightseeing tour starting with visit to the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Next, explore the legendary Ho Chi Minh Complex, a tribute to Vietnam’s beloved leader, and then marvel at the distinctive architecture of the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of peace and resilience. Then, take a stroll around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and explore the charming Ngoc Son Temple nearby, along with a few other highlights. As the day winds down, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel to relax and enjoy a restful overnight stay.
DAY 7 Hanoi – Halong Bay Day Cruise +

Day begins with breakfast at hotel and drive to Tuan Chau Harbour for the Halong Bay day cruise adventure. Set sail through the emerald waters, starting with a visit to the magnificent Sung Sot Cave. Up your adrenaline with a refreshing swim, kayaking, or a peaceful bamboo boat ride here.

Next, head to Ti Top Island, where you can take another dip or hike up to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views. As the cruise winds down, return to Tuan Chau Port and enjoy a smooth transfer back to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay

DAY 8 Hanoi – Departure +
Your Vietnam Trip ends here. Wake up and enjoy breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for flight back home.

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok,nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026
