What Our Travellers Say

★★★★★

We booked a trip to Ladakh based on positive reviews on tripadvisor. It was a personal 7 nights 8 days trip. They asked us our preferences and came up with an itinerary and price with 3 or 4 star hotel options. The trip included leh, pangong tso, shyok, nubra valley, turtuk, alchi and travelling through high altitude snowy passes khardungla and changla and kargil (we added kargil). We went late june early july. It was beautiful and flowers were starting to come up, and also snowmelts. A bit scary in shyok as the road in places disappeared and we drove over stones and through water for a few kilometres. We saw marmot, wild donkey and free horses, yak and several birds. The mountains are majestic. The altitude does make you a bit breathless, none of us had any health condition and we felt it. Our local contact in leg provided by traeminent tours advised us on altitude sickness and he emphasised several times on contacting him if we ever felt unfortable beyond the usual symptoms, how much and when to sleep. We followed his instructions carefully. We also took diomax for tge altitude breathlessness the first night which helped but it makes you thirsty and gives you a headache so we stopped taking it after. For our stay in Pangong tso our Leh person Gurmeet told us to take an oxygen cylinder reason being its higher altitude and there are no hospitals. An oxygen cylinder has 3 hours worth of oxygen should you need to drive to a hospital. We considered the Rs 2,500 an insurance and we did feel more breathless at pangong. While we could have managed without oxygen the oxygen did help ease the tightness in our chest (maybe coming from hot humid sea level singapore we took probably longer to adapt). We chose the 3 star option and did not regret it. Most cases the rooms were spacious and had great views. At pangong tso we asked to upgrade to a room with a view for an additional Rs 6.6k per person we were 3, sharing a room so we paid Rs 19.8k we felt was steep but were told taxes are high and dinner was included. Our Rs 51k per person for the trip included an excellent calm careful and informative driver Jimme and a sturdy spacious vehicle, breakfast and in two places dinner. Jimme's playlist is also great so after our trip we asked him for it. We saw beautiful monastries at Alchi, Lamayuru, Diskit, moonland the impressive Indus, Shyok and Suru rivers which we drove along. Jagmohan our tour coordinator was helpful and accommodating of our requests to add Kargil. Over all an excellent trip and we were glad we chose Traeminent.  July, 2026

We recently completed a tour to Kashmir, Amritsar, Shimla, and Manali organised by Traeminent, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The itinerary was very well planned, allowing us to comfortably explore each destination without feeling rushed. Kashmir was absolutely breathtaking — from the serene Dal Lake to the stunning landscapes of Gulmarg. The houseboat stay was a highlight. Amritsar added a spiritual dimension to the trip, with a seamless visit to the Golden Temple and Wagah Border. Shimla and Manali were equally memorable, offering beautiful mountain views, enjoyable local experiences, and well-coordinated sightseeing. The toy train ride in Shimla and the overall hill station experience were particularly special. The logistics throughout the trip were handled efficiently, transport was comfortable, hotels were well chosen, and the support from the Traeminent team was consistent and dependable. We always felt well taken care of. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable journey. I would highly recommend Traeminent to anyone looking for a well-organised and enriching travel experience.

We have just returned from a trip to Arangabad, Hampi and Badami. I found TraEminent on Trustpilot and whatsapped them and got an immediate reply from Sunny, who listened to what we wanted to do then passed us to his colleague Prachi to organise our trip. Prachi sent suggestions of different hotels and also suggested we added Badami to our itinery, which was an excellent suggestion. She organised hotels, drivers, guides and internal flights. Our hotel vouchers and internal flight bar codes were sent to us via email. We paid for the trip in 3 installments, the final one being on the day we arrivec in India. Our contact once the trip was organised and whilst we were in India was Mukesh. Prachi also created a group Whatsapp for herself, Mukesh, my husband and myself. As the holiday neared the war in Iran started and up until the day we travelled we were not sure we would be able to travel and Mukesh was excellent in starting to secure refunds and vouchers. But fortunately on the day we were able to travel, although due to late setting off and extra travel time we missed our connection from Delhi to Aurangabad and had to travel early the next morning. I contacted Mukesh who rearranged the pickup from the airport. Mukesk kept in contact with us daily for the duration of the trip and informed us of each drivers and car details the day before the pick up. We had 2 drivers, Aleem for Aurangabad and Ram for Hampi and Badami, both were excellent and the cars were comfortable. Our guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. The hotels were exactley what we wanted and the intetnal flights with Indigo were ideal time wise. We had the best 10 day tour. Thank you TraEminent for you help, patience and communication. We would definately recommend using TraEminent and would use them again. Thank you Prachi and Mukesh, you were great. March, 2026.

What July Feels Like Across Different Regions in India?

July changes the weather across India in many ways. Some places get heavy rains while others stay cool and pleasant. Here’s how different parts of India feel during this beautiful monsoon month:

South India

South India welcomes the monsoon with full charm. Kerala looks beautiful with green hills, flowing backwaters and rain-washed landscapes. Tamil Nadu gets mild rain and sunny breaks which is perfect for visiting temples and exploring cities. In Karnataka, hill stations like Coorg and Chikmagalur are covered in mist which gives travelers a peaceful and romantic monsoon vibes. Kashmir stays calm and pleasant and perfect to plan a Kashmir trip in July, while Ladakh remains mostly dry which is great for road trips and adventure. Rajasthan starts to cool down after the harsh summer which makes it a nice time to explore palaces, forts and desert towns.

East India

Eastern India turns fresh and colorful in July. Darjeeling and Sikkim are wrapped in clouds which creates a dreamy hill station feel, perfect to book a Darjeeling trip in July. The tea gardens of Assam look greener and the river flows beautifully. The beaches of Odisha are calm and breezy which is a good choice for quiet getaways. This region is perfect for those who love scenic drives and nature-filled tours.

Gujarat gets gentle showers which makes its historic towns and cultural sites pleasant to visit.

Central India

Best Destinations for a July Trip in India

The most wonderful month to explore India is July. The rain brings life to mountains, lakes and forests which makes every place look fresh and green. Here are some of the beautiful places to visit in India in July:

  • Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra: Mahabaleshwar turns dreamy in July. The hills get covered in mist, waterfalls flow down every corner and the air smells fresh after rain. You can enjoy scenic view points and take peaceful walks through green valleys.
  • Rajasthan: A Rajasthan trip in July lets you experience the softer side of the desert. The heat reduces, the skies turn cloudy and places like Jaipur, Udaipur and Mount Abu feel cool and pleasant. You can explore forts, palaces and lakes to make your trip memorable.
  • Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh: Spiti Valley wakes up in July when the snow melts and roads reopen. The landscape looks surreal with brown mountains, deep valleys and sparkling blue skies. Travelers can explore monasteries, quaint villages and crystal-clear lakes like Chadratal.
  • Coorg, Karnataka: Coorg is also known as the “Scotland of India” and it turns lush and green in July. The rain refreshes the coffee plantations and makes the waterfalls even more stunning. Travelers can enjoy hot coffee, visit Abbey Falls and stay in cozy homestays surrounded by misty hills.
  • Ladakh: July is one of the best months for a Ladakh trip. The roads from Manali and Srinagar stay open, the skies are bright blue and the views are breathtaking. A Ladakh trip in July lets you visit Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake and ancient monasteries.
  • Nainital, Uttarakhand: Nainital looks lovely in July with mist over the Naini Lake and gentle rain that makes everything sparkle. Travelers can go boating, enjoy hilltop views and sip hot tea by the lakeside. It is a charming getaway for couples and families.
  • Lakshadweep Islands: Lakshadweep is a quiet tropical paradise in July. The beaches are calm, the sea looks bright turquoise and the cool showers make the islands even more beautiful. Relax on the sand, enjoy light water activities and unwind in the lap of nature.
  • Gangtok, Sikkim: Gangtok becomes refreshing and green in July. Light rain adds a soft touch to the mountains and waterfalls appear everywhere. Visit monasteries, explore local markets and enjoy Tsongmo Lake surrounded by mist. Plan your Sikkim tour in July to experience the best of this state.
  • Pahalgam, Kashmir: In July, Pahalgam feels peaceful and full of life. The Lidder River flows beautifully, the meadow turns bright green and the weather stays mild which makes this month perfect for picnics and small treks.

Festivals & Local Experiences in July

Apart from rain, July in India is also a month of colorful festivals and lively traditions. Here is the list of some of the popular festivals you can experience in the month of July:

  • Rath Yatra: In Puri (Odisha), the grand Rath Yatra takes place with huge wooden chariots carrying Lord Jagannath and his siblings through the streets. It is followed by thousands of chanting devotees.
  • Dree Festival: Dree Festival is celebrated by the Apatani tribe in Assam. They sing, dance and perform rituals to thank nature for a good harvest.
  • Champakulam Boat Race: This boat race is held in the picturesque village of Champakkulam in Alappuzha district and it is the oldest snake boat race in Kerala. Champakulam Boat Race kicks off the festive season with long beautifully decorated boats racing through calm backwaters.
