You will be taken through major cities such as Mumbai, Nashik, Ellora and Ajanta Caves, Kolhapur, Goa and Sindhudurg making your Maharashtra tour splendid.

TOUR ITINERARY

Assemble at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 1530 hours. Complete all the check-in formalities. Get on board and enjoy a traditional Indian welcome with a refreshing drink. Settle in your respective cabins. Dinner is served on board followed by overnight stay.
Upon arrival in Nasik, settle for breakfast on board. Later, head for a visit to the Godavari Ghat. Walk through the ghat to witness the daily holy rituals being perfomed. Also, watch the vibrant markets running along the ghat. The next visit is to the Grover Zampa Vineyards that boasts the best Indian wine producing facilities. Here you would learn about the finest wines followed by a pleasing walk through the vineyards stocked with fresh Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes. Head for wine tasting in interesting varieties like white, rose, red and sparkling wines served along with lunch at the vineyards. Return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Set out for an expedition to the city of Aurangabad that houses popular attractions like Bibi-ka-Makbara, Daulatabad Fort and City's 52 gates. Savour a hearty breakfast as the train chugs into Aurangabad. Later, head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site- the Ellora Caves. These caves are an abode to 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and 5 Jain caves. Return to the comforts of Deccan Odyssey and settle for a scrumptious lunch. Spend evening at leisure. Relish a delectable meal for dinner along with refreshing cocktails. Overnight stay on board.
Upon arrival in Jalgaon, carry your breakfast along on your way to yet another renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its architectural brilliance. Here you can witness the amazing rock-cut caves adorned with impressive Hindu sculptures and Buddhist painting. Return to train for a lip-smacking lunch. Rest of the day at leisure or you can indulge in a relaxing massage session on board. Dinner and overnight stay onboard.
Settle for early lunch and later, explore the city of Kolhapur. Today, you would visit the New Palace Museum famous for its notable construction and memorials of Kolhapur rulers. Next, you would head to the Town Hall Museum inspired by neo-Gothic architectural styles. Later, walk through the high-spirited markets of the city where you can shop authentical Kolhapuri footwear. In the evening, enjoy a traditional folk performance- Lavanya Sandhya, while sipping a cup of tea. This tour ends with a visit to the 1300-year old Mahalaxmi temple and a traditional martial art performance. Return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Upon arrival, settle for breakfast on board to explore some well-preserved buildings constructed in Portuguese style buildings. It is also a UNESCO World heritage. Next, you would head to Ribandar, for exploring ancient churches and the ruins of St. Augustine Tower. Proceed to the Sahakari Spice Farm for a Goan feast boasting an Indo-Portuguese touch. All the meals are complemented by the popular Goan drink ‘Feni’ prepared from cashew. Post lunch, enjoy a Goan folk performance, a walk through the plantations and a visit to an ancient Portuguese building showcasing the Goan culture and tradition. Return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast and upon arrival in Sindhudurg, disembark for a sightseeing tour Sindhudurg. Return to train for lunch followed by continued sightseeing of the city. Dinner is served on board followed by overnight stay at Deccan Odyssey.
Wake up and enjoy morning breakfast. Upon reaching Chattrapati Shivaji Terminal, drive back to hotel or board flight back home.
